Food allergies are becoming more and more common in people of all ages around the world. It is estimated that in Poland they occur in 4-8% of children and 2-4% of adults. Their most dangerous manifestation may be health- or even life-threatening anaphylactic shock, which occurs as a result of food in approximately 33% of cases in adults and 85% of cases in children.
Overcoming food allergy obstacles is the motto of this year’s World Allergy Week, which will last from June 23 to 29.
